Jaime is the Head of the Latin America Region. He brings more than 12 years of experience advising investors, technology, and Fintech companies on their legal needs in Latin America.
Jaime has gained valuable experience representing companies in all phases of growth in a variety of industries and fields, both on their financing and M&A transactions and their ongoing business. He engages in a diverse corporate practice encompassing a wide variety of Fintech-related agreements and commercial matters, having cross-border aspects, and requiring specialized expertise.
He has demonstrated history and experience in the Fintech and Challenger Banking (E-money) industries. He has specialist knowledge in payments and challenger banking, including Latin America payment infrastructure and licensing.
He co-founded $ERO; a Central Bank licensed e-Money Institution in Uruguay, where he helped develop the new generation of banking services.
Jaime was born and raised in Uruguay, where he earned his J.D. degree in Law from Universidad de la República. . He has a multicultural background, knowledge of different Latin American legal systems, and work capability in various languages.
